Welcome to the Eastern Sierra Symphony!

Formerly the Sierra Summer Ferstival


You won't want to miss the Eastern Sierra Symphony on August 11-14, 2016. This year the Symphony is happy to welcome its new Artistic Director and Conductor, Edwin Outwater. 

The Festival this year also also welcomes composer Nathaniel Stookey, violinist Susie Park, and conductor Daniel Barthlolomew-Poiser. 


 Since 1978, the Sierra Summer Festival has presented classical symphonic concerts and programs of the highest artistic excellence to audiences in Mammoth Lakes and Eastern Sierra

Two Sierra Summer Festival soloists from 2014 won gold medals at the prestigious Fischoff Chamber Music Competition this year. Geneva Lewis (Violin) and Ben Penzner (Viola), recipients of the Horton-Kohl Young Artists Award, play the Sinfonia Concertante in E flat Major, K. 364 (320d), Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (3rd Mvt) at the Horton-Kohl Young Artists Concert at The Colburn School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles. Performance conducted by our 2014 Guest Maestra, Lucinda Carver.
